Hey kiddo, I was diagnosed with ASD on 5th December. During my assessment, I spoke a little bit about you. Your posts about your experiences growing up with ASD helped me to figure out a lot of stuff before my appointment too. I hope that now I know, I can begin to move forward with my life. My big challenge lately is university because I don't have any friends there yet. I've connected with one of the guys from my group at uni but I don't know how to talk to him (also ASD) Thanks again bud

That is amazing buddy!, that’s like one of the biggest steps towards figuring out how to move foreward ☺. I’m very proud of you!, and I know how hard a step it can be to take for someone on the spectrum. I’m super happy if my experience with having ASD helped you in any way, that’s kind of the point of me sharing it on here. I know that a lot of people with infantilism also have other things that they struggle with, and it’s dio important not to make it a taboo. I hope we all find our place and purpose in this strange world even with all the struggles that we face. Self acceptance and understandinf is a major factor in having a happy life, that goes for a lot of things, like having infantilism or being gay or having ASD. Just keep in mind that It’s a part of who you are, with booth the good and the bad, and even with the bad, some people can and will love you for who you are 💖. I hope it works out with the guy you connect with at Uni. Maybe he’ll even help you make more friends ☺ *hugs*

Hey kiddo. Yeah Concorde came into service in 1976. Air France and British Airways were very popular with the aircraft. The plane was very expensive to fly and Concorde can fly from London Heathrow to New York in 3 hours across the Atlantic Ocean. It was involved in a disaster in 2000 and none of the passengers and crew survived and was finally withdrawn in 2003. There are campaigns to get the craft running again but I don’t feel it will happen.

Cool that you know so mucg aboutbit. I don’t think it will fly again either, but it sure is a cool plane☺

Is Asperger’s considered the same as autism? Glad you came out to your colleague! I’m literally so embarrassed of my Asperger’s so I don’t like to think or talk about it

Yes it is. Its because asperger’s doesn’t exist anymore in the DSM5(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). All the sub categories within the spectrum of autism wich asperger’s was a part of has been put into one diagnosis: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Autism and asperger’s were very similar in it’s symptoms except for people with autism often having difficulties learning to speak at an early age. I don’t like to talk about it either and have almost never brought it up, but I also think it can help us and the people around us understand us better at times. I still use the word asperger’s sometimes cuz that’s what i got diagnosed with and got used to, besides people on the spectrum still knows what it is so it’s no biggy. I can relate to and understand why you find it awkward to bring up or to acknowledge, it’s also very convenient not to acknowledge once you learn to mask and hide under the radar and just be that semi awkward yet seemingly fitting into the crowd. There is just one problem with it, and that is that we are hopelessly aware of all the extra work we need to put into it in order to stay above water. We eventually try so hard and we also crash at times because of it, and that’s when we need to accept and acknowledge that It’s there, and that it’s not out fault. I beat myself up over not meeting the standard or not fitting in for many years, my best advice is to do yourself the favor of trying to be okay with it. It’s there and it can be very alienating and lonely, But in the end it makes you who you are. Look at it this way (Having ASD or sperger’s is like having a different operating system, it can make it hard to process or execute different or specific tasks that others find easy. Since our system is wired differently, we also often have a different approach to things, and can think utside the box. We tend not to be as easily indoctrinated and question things objectively and intellectually. Sometimes we get what some refers to autistic superpowers. For some it’s to hyper focus on a specific subject learning everything there is to know and never get tired of it. Others have perfect pitch and can recognize patterns in the timing and tone of music. Some might hear sounds that others can’t pick Up on, or just recognize visual patterns or changes in them. Some don’t respond as much to physical pain, and others have a photographic memory. There are many other autistic superpowers so having asd sn’t all bad :).

Hey minimax. Glad to hear you came out as autistic to one of your crowds and she didn't have any problems for it. Now, I feel really bad for asking this, but I heard there was a train crash and I couldn't find a by info on here and I can't download snapchat, so could you tell what happened?

Yeah its good that she was understanding about it. Hmm I don’t normally watch the news that often but this thing was hard to miss. As far as i remember it was because some cargo fron a cargo train fell off due to high wind speeds and the cargo hit another passing train. They said it was some errors or bad system calculatings in some interval info from some wind speed sensors that decided it wasnt consistently eindy enough to warn the cargo train operator to slow down. Apparently some cargo fell off just at the wrong time and hit one of those fast trains. 8 people were killed and 13 others injured.
